After seeing "Amazon Primate's" review mentioning that these were radioactive, I was a bit skeptical whether the stones were radioactive or not. I work in the field of radiation sciences, so I have a thorough understanding of radiation along with access to radiation detection equipment. I took this back to our lab and found that the stones are indeed radioactive. It appears to me that the stones are likely made from natural stone, which can sometimes naturally have high levels of radiation. My measurement also confirmed levels of radiation 10x higher than normal levels. I am certainly returning this product, as it will otherwise come into contact with my knives, which will then come into contact with my food.
