Grass verses mower, grass wins hands down
Buy this only if you have a small yard with thin grass that never gets wet or damp. Do not buy this if you have a lawn full of luxurious thick grass growth. Of if you let you grass get a bit long.
The ugly reality:
1. The one I bought died in under a year. Yesterday as a matter of fact. It did not survive a full summer.
2. It consistently bogged down on short but thick grass. Bogged badly requiring me to basically re-mow the yard to get it cut right. I shudder to think what would have happened had I let the grass get long.
3. If you bag, beware, the entrance to the bagger clogs quickly if the grass is at all moist. You end up stopping every couple of rows to flip the mower and clear the hole leading to the bag. Most annoying. Otherwise you end up defaulting to mulch setting as not grass can teach the bag. This adds to the problems this most underpowered mower has with bogging down.
4. When the mower died, it managed to also pop switches in the house switch box controlling the outlet I had it plugged to. If fact, it popped both the fault switch at the outlet and the switch in the box. I wonder if I would have had an electrical fire had I lacked 2 levels of safety.
There is some good.
1. the height adjustment worked.
2. The bag was easy to attach/detach.
Otherwise, spend your money on a more capable machine. Sometimes one gets a bargain and this is amoung the lower priced corded mowers. Sadly, it performed most shoddily for me. It is possible I get a bad one - other reviews are more favorable.
But do your research before buying this one.
