We recently moved into a new house that has a large yard with lots of trees that dangle their branches in my face while mowing. So I bought this pole saw to help keep the trees in line. Initially, this seemed like it would be great. I bought some bar oil (it doesn't come with any), loaded it up, checked the chain tension, charged the battery and went to work. I made it through 5 good size limbs before the chain stopped turning. The motor spins, but there's some kind of clutch thing in the head piece that seems to have just broken down. If I wiggle it around a bit, I can get the chain to start spinning for a few seconds, but applying any load to it all stops it and the clutch thing spins freely (and noisily/like something inside is rattling around). I tried cleaning out the wood shavings that had accumulated around the chain and refilling the bar oil (that stuff seems to go like water through this saw) but no luck. Definitely something busted in there. I went to Greenworks website hoping to open a support case, but it seems they only provide support over the phone. So it looks like I'm going to need to dedicate however long it takes me (during their available support hours) sitting on the phone yakking at someone to get this fixed. I'd much rather just send an e-mail/fill out a form. UPDATE: I just thought to check Amazon for return options and it looks like they'll take care of it, so that's awesome. I had great hopes for these tools and was planning on buying the blower and maybe the string trimmer. This experience is a real downer.
