Design Flaws
** Update: It's been brought to my attention that this company has asked reviewers to come to my profile and down vote it. I've seen the e-mails and its real. Please take pause, is that an ethical request? This product has failed, I provided an honest review, and now the company is sending out requests to down vote honest, unaffiliated reviews. Think about that. The company has yet to contact me regarding a cracked case, etc. ***Update: After this post moved to top of reviews for this product, Blitzu did finally contact me in comments below. E-mail conversation offered refund (after 5 months and a total of 7 inquiries and only when this product review moved up to top). I'll be transparent; I declined refund. I asked instead for business information to follow-up regarding the down-voting and mysterious DB posts on this thread (many removed). Communication again stopped. ****Updated: contacted again, three more times, no response from seller regarding my inquiry about their business and getting contact information. *Update: Case cracked and no longer rests on the holder. This was after using for about two weeks. Bought it cause I needed a better bike light for urban commuting. Arrived on time. Tried to attach it to a single speed with bullhorns. The mounting bracket was too big to fit between my brake lever cables and the handlebar. So I was left with a choice to either mount it backwards (where it is slightly more flimsy) and rotate it 360* or use my drimmel tool to customize it. Ended up etching out a grove so the quick release tab will catch with the mount on backwards. Waterproof seems ok but I don't ride under water so I really can't say. The micro usb cover doesn't seem to have a super snug fit. I can easily slide my finger over it and it comes out, but it's on the underside of the bulb end so I suppose it's ok when riding. The light is bright but not the brightest you can get for the price range. Personally I thought the free back light was cool, though I would have preferred it to be usb rechargeable as well. I will probably put this one on my back up bike as I like my current AAA battery one, cause they are easy to find. Pros Usb rechargeable (only front light, not free back light) Free back light (for back up) Cons Had to customize it to fit right (not recommended for those with limited handlebar space) Only one color (going to paint it white) Kinda big and clunky looking Wouldn't trust my life on the waterproof claim
