Glad to see accessories so soon but can't recommend
I picked this case up recently, excited that we're actually getting Nexus accessories at launch and not months down the line (keep it up Google/Asus). But I'm sad to report it's not very good.
There's cutouts for the camera, speakers, headphone jack, and micro-USB port. The power and volume buttons are covered but raised for use (like on a lot of TPU/silicone cases). The case fits on easily but is flimsy feeling. The worst part to me is there's zero latching of the front cover and it's even thin enough that it's possible to see the screen through the cover if the screen is on. The sides of the case also flex off the device with even the slightest pressure applied so you'll feel it moving when you're holding it. The overall quality of it reminds me of those gel cases for phones that you can find for under $10 that get stretched out after a couple of months leading you to buying them again. So it might have been nicer to see it made from a thicker/stronger material.
For those wondering it won't activate the sleep/wake function since there's no magnets. I didn't really expect it to but was hopeful it might and figured it worth mentioning. Lastly it does allow for inductive charging, but with the thinness of the case I'm not surprised.
Pros:
+ Adds a nice color option for protection?
Cons
-- Thin and flimsy
- Pulls away from the edge/sides of the device too easily making it annoying
- No sleep/wake feature
Overall it's a disappointing accessory. I'm not saying I was expecting something amazing but I guess that's what you get for $20. However, even for $20 I can't recommend it. Save your money for something else unless you really want this specific case. Even some of the $10-15 cases popping up on Amazon would be a better investment.
