Update to review: April 22, 2017 I bought this chair in August of 2016 and absolutely loved the feel and perceived quality. Unfortunately, that didn't last. Within 3 months it started to creak, then squeak loudly if I rocked in it at all. I cannot out my kid to sleep if the chair makes horrendous noise Everytime I move. After putting up with the noise for a bit by not rocking in it, I looked underneath and two of the support railings had broken and we're out of their settings. I figured that was my fault since I weight 189lbs and with baby we weight over 200. (Yeah big baby.) So I repaired it, gluing what needed glued, resetting what needed reset. It was a HUGE pain but I felt it was worth it at the time. Had I known that was only the beginning of my problems, I would've boxed it up and sent it back. Since November-December I've repaired the chair a total of 4 times and now as you can see one of the rods has completely broken off! What a piece of junk, if it doesn't even last a year. Ridiculous! Don't waste your money. Pay $10 more and get a Stork one. One of those was given to me as a gift and is still going strong a year and a half later. Fantastic rocking chair! It's comfortable, priced right and versatile. The only issue is that it squeeks a little when I rock, which for me is no issue, but might be a problem for mothers with light sleeping baby's.
