★☆☆☆☆
I loved this show from the beginning....until the last episode...
Was it absolutely necessary for a 12-year old starting her journey upon becoming a woman to "come out"? I have worked with early teens in middle school and at that point one's sexuality and preferences are still malleable with ""girl crushes" on best friends, which mature to friendships. Not romantic desires. I was very disappointed that the show - to be "PC" -threw that in. Are there any shows left that do not go down that path? I am not homophobic, but I do not believe practically every single show that comes out of Hollywood must thrust this question in our faces. Particularly co-opting the story of a 12 year old still finding her way. It felt as though the dialog in that specific scene was simply thrown in gratuitously. This is essentially a family show grappling with real issues, but this issue could have been left out. Unfortunately I bought the entire third season but disappointingly plan not to finish it.
