I've had this product for 1.5 years. Suddenly things started to fall apart... This morning, as I was boiling water for coffee, I lifted it from its platform (once it came to a boil) and the handle broke off AT THE SAME TIME as the glass container shattered. This caused the boiling-hot water to splash all over my groin. I just came back from urgent care with a diagnosis of first-degree burns, and I'm missing work, too, due to excruciating pain. All because of a poorly constructed product that seems to fall apart all at once.
