I am an IT person. Have many NAS and single or Raid SSD Drives. I connected this 8TB to a Mac and I get 17eg Read and 16 Meg Write. I also have SSD on the sane Mac that shows the regular SSD speed. It took a long time to transfer a small file to this drive. 7 days for 3 TB. -I have many other PCs and Macs. Same slow result s. This is too much money to get snail speed. Forget about gaming. You can travel around the world and back and this thing still hasn’t finished the 8 TB transfer. Won’t recommend it. WD has no support. Someone in China picks up that speaks No English.
