As a birthday present to my wife, I bought an Intex PureSpa Greywood Deluxe 6 Person Portable Inflatable Hot Tub Bubble Jet Spa with Wireless Controls, Hardwater Treatment, Filter and Cover from Amazon on 7/4/2020. Received the spa and installed it, about a week later, the base unit started to show error E90, which according to the manual it has to do with the filtration system. I installed brand new original Intex filters and reset the unit per instructions in the user's manual with no success. I reached out to Intex's customer service directly, after looooong hours waiting on the phone and condescending attitude by the phone operators, they issued a warranty claim and sent a replacement unit. About 2 weeks later the replacement unit came broken at arrival. I contacted Intex's customer service again. Same rude response from their phone operators. Eventually, they agree to send me another base unit. By now, they are asking me to send the defective units back and pay out of pocket about $160 for shipping (about 20% the cost of the whole Spa) otherwise I would be charged $244.60 full price for each the defective units for a total of $489.20 total or about 70% the cost of the spa! I received the replacement unit of to replace the broken replacement unit and installed it. 8 weeks later, the 3rd unit is still showing error E90. I reached to Amazon and VM Express for a resolution to this issue or a refund. They both send me to go deal with Intex. At this point I am not comfortable dealing with Intex based on the patronizing and rude experience I have had with their “customer service” personnel. I will try one more time and will reach out to Intex to get some resolution to this headache and will provide an update here, Intex, VM Express and Facebook. Lessons learned: return the product back to Amazon right away and consider buying from Coleman instead!
