When I saw that Cuisinart had an air fryer I was very excited. However, upon receiving it, I am VERY disappointed by the product and the quality. I don't really do reviews but I wanted others to know what they are getting. Honestly, there is not much at all I like about it. Here are the issues I have with the machine: 1. The temperature is way off - it cooks very hot on all settings. The temperature gauge is not calibrated correctly. Things that should cook on 425 come out burnt very fast. I have had to lower the setting to 300 and things are still coming out over cooked. 2. The "pans" (tray, wire basket & rack) are very poor quality. I bought this specifically because it was stainless steel and I thought it would hold up and be easy to wash. However, everything is ridiculously flimsy, everything sticks to it and washing is near impossible. All accessories are NOT dishawasher safe - fyi! I am glad I read the instructions first! However, I followed directions and washed them with hot soapy water and they rusted - before even using them the pans were rusted. The basket is so thin that when attempting to wash it the bottom pushes in and out to the point I thought it would break. 3. The design was not thought through as there is no safe way to take the pan, basket, etc. out of the oven after cooking. I have had to use tongs to pull the tray out and extremely carefully try to remove the food. Because of the small space it is impossible to get a pot holder in the machine to pull it out. Very inconvenient. I could continue - but I think those three things alone tell me the machine is not worth the money!! I cannot believe Cusinart would put out such a sub par product.
