EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I had really hoped that the other reviews were wrong. I made it a point to order the solar charger made by Ring and specific to the upgraded model. Not only did my battery loss 50% life in 5 days, the doorbell doesn't even reflect that it's connected, solar status says "add a Ring solar charger to Extend Battery Life" (see setting screenshot). Update: after writing this review I decided to contact ring support for assistance. I was extremely upset with the service that they provided however because of my original review I was contacted by a Ring associate that monitors and attempts to resolve issues. After speaking with her I determined my COVERED front porch may have been the reason my doorbell was not charging. She did advise that they were aware of some issues in the app regarding the app not recognizing that a panel was connected and they were working on correcting it. Because my return window was closing I decided to return the charger. On a side note, I am going to try connecting the flat panel to my doorbell. I will have to cut the barrel connector which will void any warranties BUT if it allows me to keep my doorbell charged then its worth it. I use the (Ring) panel for my spotlight cam without and issues so fingers crossed this will work. (Solar panel update.... it worked!!! Cutting the end of the panel plug and using the provided wire ends with the ring allows me to connect it to my Ring 3... initially I reversed the connections but after correcting it the ring started to charge and haven't changed the battery since).
