We were excited about this DVD as Pilgrims Progress has been a life long favorite of my husband. The demons were a little over the top (was planning on letting our little ones watch). So, thumbs down on that. The real reason I would give this DVD zero stars if I could, is that there was no actual cross in the movie. Christian is depicted running towards the cross, exclaiming about how the King is setting him free. However, the cross is just a glowing light shaped cross in the distance. His burden drops before he gets there. The core message of Pilgrims Progress is repentance at the cross, and then being set free from one's burdens. Being set free while running towards it is just too much artistic license for us.
