Frustraiting, only works for the moon. Better quality scopes are cheaper
Buy a cheaper Meade 90mm or 102 mm instead. This scope cannot do what the Meade can. This scope has across the board shabby products. Waste of money, I threw mine in the trash since I didn't want to donate and disappoint anyone else. Two large draw backs is the mounts single wand hand tracking system and finder scope. The mount uses a single wand to move the scope both horizontally and vertically by hand instead two separate mechanical systems for horizontal and vertical control. The wand system made getting a steady image burdensome, especially since the image in the eyepiece would also travel when the wand was locked. Best achievable magnification for a planet was 67x, which isn't enough. The finder scope doesn't work, so you have to use a different one. The way the finder is designed the business end of the finder is pointing backwards from the front of the scope. The focuser was already slipping on first use. Save your money go elsewhere.
