Great Idea But Wish they Had Taken Advantage of the Potential the Product Had-Still Recommend It For Potterheads
Don't get me wrong, the idea behind this is amazing, and from the time I read the first book I wished there was something like this out there.My husband and I love to play chess, and we love harry potter. We payed a little under fifty dollars for this which is reasonable for a chess set, the pieces were a little less durable then I had hoped, some of the weapons like the bishops staff had a rubbery feel and could be bent which caused them to all have a slightly different appearance. For the price I payed this in itself wasn't too upsetting and I was still very pleased with the product... until I pulled out the actual chess board. I had hoped it would be at least some kind of thin plastic or even cloth, but for something this cool I wasn't expecting cardboard. It isn't even nice cardboard and straight out of the box it had little peeling spots all over it already.
Overall, it is a really cool product, and I don't regret buying it. The important part to me are the pieces themselves but I will probably be replacing the cardboard part with a nicer chess board in the near future to go with my wizard chess pieces.
