This machine does kill mosquitoes. However, for the money, there are much better options. For example - In the first 3 weeks of operation this machine captured and killed a few hundred mosquitoes. I bought a UV fan mosquitoe machine (about 1/6th the cost of this machine), and put the same mosquito attractant scent in it, and I have to empty the basket about every 5 days because it’s completely full of mosquitoes (probably close to a thousand). Don’t waste your money on this machine, there are better options out there.
