DON'T BUY! I love the size of a 1-1/2" barrel curling iron, but finding a well designed one has proven difficult to find. I have an old 1-1/2" Conair that broke...it produced loose, beautiful curls & waves on my long hair. THE BAD: As others have noted, this 1 1/2" barrel iron is NOT like the photo & has major design flaws: *It is NOT smooth shiny chrome like photo. It is a brushed, rough metal that doesn't release the hair smoothly...hangs on to hair subjecting it to more heat than needed. *The bracket stand catches and pulls hair out. *The WORST is the heat dial is positioned in a place in the handle & no matter how you try, it gets bumped and it's either way to hot...or cool. Hated it so much I'm using my old, broken Conair iron and returned this one. Hope to find a good replacement soon.
