I loved the idea of a tag that wouldn't get pulled off or caught in anything, and initially loved this design, and even bought a second tag; but this design is dangerous if you have more than one dog. This tag almost cost our pup her life. Last week our dogs were outside playing in our yard. We heard our other dogs making a lot of noise, and when we went out to investigate, it looked like our girls were fighting. When we attempted to break them up, we realized Desi's teeth had gotten caught under this tag, and in her trying to get away, she had twisted Maggie's collar around her jaw to the point it was strangling Maggie to death. Desi was panicked and fighting because her jaw was caught, and Maggie's collar was too tight to even get a knife under it to save her. Im not sure how we got finally got Desi loose, I think the tag finally bent enough for her to break free (which was no easy feat). Maggie was rushed to the emergency vet with a couple of puncture wound, hematomas, scraped skin, and petechial hemorrhaging, but thankfully she is ok. Thank God we were home and able to intervene. If you or anyone you know are using these, please be aware of this risk if you have multiple dogs that like to play, or you like to visit the dog park.
