I bought this to take hot soup to work with me. On 3 occasions the steam from the hot soup blew the lid right off the canister. The first time I figured I screwed up and cross threaded the lid so every time after that I made absolutely sure it was secured properly. What a mess!! luckily the cap that acts as a cup was also on the canister otherwise the lid would have become a projectile. The old Stanley's used to have metal threads on the lid. This is plastic and can't hold the steam pressure. This one is going back for a refund.
