I am so disappointed in this machine. I had wished for a Dyson Ball for many years and when it was possible for me to purchase one, I was really excited. However, I cannot push it, it has too much suction on my carpet!! I had just gotten new carpeting and wanted to make certain that it was cleaned well. It seems to me that Dyson should have put in their remarks that it wouldn't work on thick carpet!! I went to YouTube to see if I could get any help. I found an idea on how to make it work. I put silicone furniture moving strips on the beater. It has helped somewhat!! It lifts the beater up just a little and I can then push it. The strips don't stay on very long and I must then replace them. I recommend that before you purchase this machine, make sure that it will slide on your carpet.
