A few days ago, I ordered your Airpot from Amazon. I was excited to take delivery of it to replace our three-year old thermos which had a glass interior. That thermos had served us well for three years with an astonishing capacity for keeping coffee steaming hot for many, many hours and supple pumping action.. When it fell from a picnic table and the glass shattered, I was desolate. I immediately ordered your Airpot as one of the most highly rated and expensive models I could find. I wanted something virtually indestructible and was willing to pay for it. Alas, my joy and excitement were short-lived. On first use, after only two-three hours, the coffee was not hot at all, even though I had followed instructions to the letter to fill the beast with hot water and let it sit. But my disappointment did not end there. The pumping action to dispense coffee was sluggish and required considerable effort, unlike our original thermos. Also, the open and close valve was stiff and sometimes hard to work. This might once have been a superior product, but I suspect someone in carpet corridor has decided to cheapen it to increase the profit margin. I could be wrong about this, but if so, I am left with the notions that either this was a rare, defective product that escaped the notice of your quality control staff, or that it is simply a highly overrated product that does not live up to the hype. What more can I say? This was an utterly disappointing product and I would like to have the purchase price of $42.24 refunded immediately.
