A tale of 3 FitBit Charges. It would be great if they functioned properly.
My wife and i have been waiting for the new Fitbit to be released as we both wanted something that would function as a fitness tracker and a watch. My wife ordered hers on Amazon and I picked mine up at Target because we had a coupon. My wife's Fitbit although fully functional will not hold a charge for more than a day and a half. My first Fitbit had no problem with a charge, but only tracked sleep 1 of 4 days. I exchanged my Fitbit yesterday at Target only to have it not track sleep again last night.
Either there is a major software flaw or there are many defective devices out there. I have contacted Fitbit support but so far the only response has been to reboot the device. My wife still needs to exchange her unit with the faulty battery.
Here is the good..we love the devices when they do what they should. The bracelets are comfortable and secure and give a great overview of your fitness activity for the day. I love the ability to track exercise and water intake. The sleep information my wife is seeing is very interesting, hopefully I will be able to have that feature someday soon. I haven't used any of the ability to link up with other users, but it is a feature I will use in the future.
Hopefully Fitbit will get the kinks worked out of a device which seems for now, is not ready for prime time. I will update my review once we receive fully functional devices or give up, whichever comes first.
UPDATE: Response from Fitbit after I told them my new tracker was also not tracking sleep"
"We are sorry to hear your Charge's sleep tracking is still not working.
Please let us know how did it go after the restart to see what else we can do to assist you.
We hope to hear from you soon. If you have any other questions please let us know."
