I bought this system because my beagle does not like to stay in my yard. I previously had thein ground system and he would run right through it. I bought this plus 2 extra collars because i have 3 dogs. When i first set it up it was great! My dogs actually stayed in the yard! Unfortunately, within the first week, one of the collars went missing while they were outside. I was confused on howthat could happen. Then within another week, another collar came up missing while they were outside. Again, i was confused, until i took the 3rd collar off my dog and realized that the clasp was broke. Very cheap plastic for an expensive collar. I contacted Amazon and after speaking to a supervisor they sent me 2 retirement collars. Wonderful! Now here we are, 6 months later and everything was great. Till my beagle kept getting out of the yard. I checked the battery and it was fine. He got out of the yard again. I changed the battery just in case. He got out of the yard again. So i switched collars with one ofthe other dogs and put a fresh battery in it. I should specify that the collar is turned up to its highest setting. I checked all the collars with the checker thing that came with them. It shows that theyare working andi can hear them beeping. For some reason it was not shocking my dog though. He got out of the yard yet again, even though this system is supposed to keep him in it, and now currently has been missing for a week. So for spending over $500 for this containment system and extra collars, all I've got is a headache and a missing family pet.
