What makes this coffee's caffeine level higher than other beans? Robusto beans. It's a blend of Arabica and Robusto. Robusto tastes awful. This is not a coffee for coffee connoisseurs. At $20 a pound for inferior beans, this company has won the lottery. I was extremely pensive about ordering, and even contacted the company asking for a free sample, something Coffee Bean Direct, happily offers. I was told they do not offer samples, so I bought a bag, assured that, if I did not like the offering, I would be refunded, which I graciously was. I have to say that, Koffee Kult DARK ROAST COFFEE BEANS, truly is worth the cost of the blend, though I don't know how happy I am about it since it's the most I've recently paid for bulk coffee. All in all, I didn't notice any significant boost from the caffeine, or effects from it, good or bad. GRADE: F for bean flavor C for caffeine A+ for customer service
