Random comments: --The mist only lasts for 3-4 hours. I tried it with the lights on and off, and with various temperatures of water. This mist just doesn't last anywhere close to 8 hours as claimed. --It is very quiet, but not silent. This doesn't matter to me since I have young kids, and the house is always noisy. Those of you with the luxury of a quiet house might notice the noise if you are right next to the unit. --Mine stopped working in under 2 weeks, with less than 10 uses. The power button is non-responsive, there is no mist, and it randomly lights up red just from being plugged in. --The customer service number on the bottom of the unit answered as "Greenair". This makes me wonder if the Now Diffuser and the Greenair Spa Diffuser are basically the same thing. If so, why spend more money on the Now? To their credit, the company agreed to send out a new base at no charge, with no hassle. I asked the lady if this is a frequent problem. She hesitated (which probably means the answer is yes) but gave a diplomatic response that this is a "known issue with this model" and that the "design team is working" to fix it. We'll see if the new unit has better durability. --At this point in time, I can not recommend this product to others based on the lack of durability. I'm worried that the replacement is going to break too . . . UPDATE 11/23/14 --We moved from a dry climate to a humid one. The vapor seems to last longer, but still not even close to 8 hours. --The replacement unit is dead (and got minimal use for 3 months while we were moving). When I unscrewed everything and opened it up, the "guts" are totally rusted inside. My guess is it leaks through the small hole in the bottom of the unit that creates the sonic vibrations. --I stand by my 2 star rating. It works for a while, but has no longevity.
