The app was crummy and buggy to start and when I happened to go back and see the permissions I was surprised and confused to see the following permissions: -Required to be able to access the camera device -Initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call being placed -Access the list of accounts in the Accounts Service I don't see how CNN could possibly need these permissions to offer us a NEWS app. I immediately removed the app after that. There are other, better, news apps out there with far less suspicious permissions.
