I was convinced these would be a hit. They looked adorable in the photos and sounded like something my 7-year-old daughter and her friends would love. They were supposed to be wearable, interactive, fluffy, soft and adorable. With that in mind, I pre-ordered three of them. We received the first two Pomsies a few days ago and this one today. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you my daughter put her Pomsie down within TWO MINUTES of opening it. I thought there was some confusion -- perhaps she didn't understand what it was or couldn't turn it on, so I picked it up to check it out for myself. Nope. It's very disappointing. I'm choosing my words carefully because someone out there invented this and put their time and energy into this. I want to respect that. But this is low-quality and its functionality is very basic. It doesn't do very much at all. There are about three very simple modes to it, but nothing sophisticated at all. And others have already mentioned, the toy itself is poorly constructed. Its fur is very poor quality and it doesn't stay in place well at all. It just falls off your arm or leg. My toddler son (2.5 yo) was slightly more interested, but even he lost interest after about six minutes with it. I pleaded with him to watch me demonstrate what would happen if I pressed the nose, but he was completely bored by it. The thing is: I wanted to LOVE this toy. I've been telling people all summer that this would be a hit. I was rooting for this toy. I was rooting for this company and I'm disappointed because I feel ripped off and so foolish for pre-ordering them, but that's entirely my fault. I'm sorry to post such a negative review. It's very rare for me to do so, but save your money. This should be about $10 less expensive and be much better quality.
