NOT GENUINE SAMSUNG PRODUCTS, NOT FAST CHARGING
These are NOT Samsung fast chargers, as the description and pictures indicate. They are very clearly knockoffs and will not function as a fast charger. When I use a fast charger, my phone automatically recognizes it as one, and shows a message saying "fast charging - fast charger connected". I plugged on of these into my phone, and did not get that message. To make sure it was not my phone that was the issue, I grabbed the fast charger that came with the phone, and plugged it in. No issues, said fast charger same as it always does.
Upon further inspection, it was clear that these are not genuine products. I bought 2 of these chargers from Amazon. If you look at the picture with 3 chargers side by side, you will notice that on the one that came with the phone (the one on the right) the way the usb cable goes into the charger is the opposite of the two (middle and left) purchased from Amazon. Next when looking at the backs of 2 of the chargers, the text on the one that came with the phone is much crisper and cleaner looking than the one bought from Amazon (this difference is even more apparent in real life than in the picture).
Finally, just comparing the two chargers that were both bought from amazon at the same time, you'll notice that the area where the USB plugs in on the one on the right is so poorly aligned that I actually couldn't even get the cable into it.
So in sum, these will not fast charge your phone, and are not, as best I can tell, original Samsung products.
What troubles me most about this, is that they were shipped from AND sold by Amazon. While I am often skeptical of third party sellers here, and do a considerable amount of research on those to make sure I am getting a genuine product, I typically trust that if Amazon themselves are selling it that I can trust it to be a genuine product from the manufacturer. This experience really has me worried about what Amazon is selling, and if I can trust the things sold directly by them, as I typically try to buy from them instead of 3rd parties, with the assumption that they are more likely to give me a real product. Based on this, I'm not sure if I will continue to shop with Amazon as frequently...
