I hate to give any company a 1 star rating but so disappointed. After first use there are non-removable scratches caused from our flatware knives. Nice tender pork chops and just everyday knives (not steak knives) and forks used. When I rinsed in sink prior to putting in dishwasher, our plates had a bunch of grey lines all over where the knives made contact with our plates when cutting our meat. The lines are there to stay and will not come out. Such a bummer, as I bought these to replace my stoneware that is 18 years old. These are so pretty and the simple elegance of the design and matte finish just rocked my world...unfortunately, these dishes scratch easily and very noticable. Serious Buzz Kill, as I bought 2 sets so I could have full service for 8. Ho-Hum...shtuff happens.
