Be ready for the "Extras" if you actually want integration with HomeKit
Let's break this down: - If you are moving from a Chain to a Belt, be prepared to completely redo your setup. We had to remove our track, put up the new track, and of course, install the new Garage door Opener. I hired someone because I am not messing around with that - I assume most of us are buying this because it is Wifi Enabled, meaning, you can control with your smartphone device, there aren't a lot of companies out there, well, let's be honest, Chamberlain/Liftmaster are currently the only one that I know off (They are the same company) - Be ready to be ripped off. That's right. If you are an avid user of Homekit, not only you have to pay $200+ for the garage door opener, you also need to pay $70+ for a "hub". (Used to cost $50). Why such a bad review? - Does it work? Absolutely But why does such a large company need to rip off their customers so they can use something that should be baked in their products? It makes no sense you need to pay for Google Home (I am sorry, but whether I use the App or Google Home, it tackles the same server). It outrages me as a customer that I have to pay $70+ extra to simply add home kit. The worse part of it all is that the company knows that, hence why you see the home bridge going up in price all the time. It used to cost $49.99, I have seen as high at $94.99 here at amazon. Had I not paid someone to install this I would have return this crap. GREEDY, GREEDY, GREEDY. You guys should focus on customer service, there is no reason why we should pay for something that you can easily add to this already expensive door opener. I can't wait for another company to offer a similar product.
