I bought this for my granddaughter, she loves the movie MOANA. I will cherish the memory of her opening the package - the elated look on her face. There are very few times that you will see her not wearing this necklace. Thats where the fairytale ends . . . I purchased this on August 12th, 2017 and now today it is August 25, 2017 and the necklace DOES NOT light up any more. It stopped lighting up approximately a week or so ago. So there was VERY little enjoyable play time. you CANNOT replace the batteries in this, although I think the item description leads you to believe that you can stating that it can: Moana’s iconic blue shell necklace lights up with a soft green glow - THE NECKLACE IS GREEN LIT UP OR NOT Can also light up when closed with a push of a button - WHERE IS THE "PUSH OF A BUTTON" - OURS DID NOT OPEN OR CLOSE Includes 3 button cell batteries - GIVING THE BUYER THE IMPRESSION THAT 3 BUTTON BATTERIES IS SOMETHING THAT CAN BE REPLACED I am glad that she still likes the necklace - its just really really disappointing for breaking a little girls heart, I would think for the money paid for it - - it would have lasted longer or be able to replace the batteries !!!!
