Freak accident, dogs mouth got lodged/trapped and could not pull lose from the bars
I've now tried two sizes of this crate and tonight was the final straw. I have a 6 pound toy poodle pupply (5 months old). I tried the 24" crate. Somehow my dogs paw got caught between the tray and the cage. Now tonight I had the worst scare on the 22" crate. Somehow my dog in biting the bards to get out on the side of the crate got her teeth stuck on two bars where her mouth was literally lodged inside of the vertical bars. She couldn't open her mouth wider to get her mouth out. It was very freakish. I heard severe screeching, I ran to the crate and her nose was between two bars and her mouth lodged/trapped on top of the bars. Imagine your mouth being trapped open at its widest and you are in pain and you can't pull lose. That is exactly what happened. It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed with the now 3 dogs I have owned over 40+ years. I now need to research a crate that has much smaller width bars that criss cross like the airplane plastic travelers because I do not trust these crates after this nightmare I just went through.
