★★☆☆☆
I won't be buying any more Ashley Gardner . . .
This book is decently written. Intriguing mystery. However, there are places where is becomes unnecessarily crude. There are also places where it becomes too sexually explicit for my taste, places where it was not necessary for the plot. I'll take Austen, Georgette Heyer, or most of Stephanie Barron over this author any day. If crudity doesn't bother you, if sexual explicitness doesn't bother you, you will probably enjoy this book more than I did. I've decided that I am not willing to overlook either when looking for light reading.
I wish a previous reviewer had included these issues in her review. It would have saved me some time and money. I will be deleting this book from my library.
