Don't believe the hype.
This will come as a shock, but Chef Tony is not telling you the whole truth. First, although the product appears to be a paste on TV, it's actually a powder. The primary ingredient appears to be oxalic acid, which, per Wikipedia, is excellent for dissolving rust. It may be good for that and for general cleaning (it's found in Barkeeper's Friend), but in no sense is it a miracle cleaner for baked-on food. My first test subject was the bottom of a frying pan with baked-on grease. After a great deal of scrubbing, I removed about half the grease. This is roughly the result I get with kitchen cleanser. This means, of course, that it will work no better than kitchen cleanser for cleaning your oven. It is in no sense what we generally think of as an oven cleaner. Finally, although rubber gloves many not be absolutely required, Wikipedia warns that extended skin exposure to oxalic acid can be harmful. So: (1) Stick with your existing products for kitchen cleaning. You'll find them as effective as, and far less expensive than, Chef Tony's miracle powder. (2) For baked-on grease on your stainless steel pots and pans, try oven cleaner! I've used it many times. It does not mar or damage my cookware in any way that I can see, after repeated uses over several years. Try it on an old pot if you're nervous. (3) May your kitchen always be cleaner than mine.
