I have been purchasing Sterilitr cabinets for years and have always found them of good quality and easily assembled. I have 8 in my garage and have had 5 for the past 1 years. However, I bought this one with the explicit purpose of storing my small kitchen appliances in one convenient place. I assembled the product as instructed. Put in the last shelf and started to store all that great equipment. Then suddenly the lowest shelf collapsed and sent my Instant Pot to the garage floor. The crash cracked the side of the lid! I looked at the cabinet, tested all the other shelves and they were fine. When I looked at the last shelf site and tried to replace it into position it would not hold. Evidently there is a flaw in the piece at the back that supports the shelf at that spot. Since the shelves are reportedly adjustable I placed that particular shelf in a lower spot. This requirement altered the storage plan but I was shocked that the shelf would collapse - that had never happened before. Obviously there is something wrong with the way these products are now being manufactured. I doubt I would buy one through Amazon again especially since the prospect of trying to return it is daunting!
