I was promised a revolution in male grooming; freedom from tear-any. So, after the lawnmower 4.0 arrived in its sleek packaging I charged it over night and headed into the shower to do battle. The handy, built-in light quickly illuminated the problem, the admittedly overgrown greenery was simply too thick for the lawnmower to cut through with the gaurd on. So, like a Spanish conquistador making his way through the amazon, machete in hand, I took the guard of and began to chop. Unfortunately, even after what seemed like months clearing the forrest, it became clear that one of the included guards was completely unable to cut through even the now diminished shrubbery. I pushed ahead using the shorter of the the two guards, only to find that the foliage would completely clog the blades of the lawnmower 4.0 after only a few passes, which turned what was supposed to be a short expedition into a long war of attrition. Lawnmowers are meant for manicured lawns of soft grass, golf greens, and soccer fields, and perhaps that is enough for some people. But what is clear to me now is that a lawnmower is an inadequate tool for brothers out there like me who have wilder, thicker vegetation down south. Although admitedly the earth beneath the plant life remained untouched, the revolution for me, is postponed....
