Spyware? Wants to record screen! Gaomon driver is really Huion driver! And mouse mode is broken.
I completely erased my computer to upgrade to Mac OS Catalina, so all traces of previous drivers I had would have been gone. With a clean slate, I installed the Gaomon driver. It immediately asked for permission to record my screen (see screenshot). Then I noticed that the Gaomon tablet had the same issue with the cursor jumping across the screen that the Huion H950P had (I purchased last week and returned). Fed up, I went to uninstall the driver, and noticed the files related to the Gaomon driver had Huion in the name (see screenshot). Remember, I was working on a totally erased and clean operating system install.
Why does it need permission to record my screen? Why is the Gaomon driver installing Huion drivers? Mouse mode being broken, I was wondering if I could adapt my workflow. But wanting to record my screen and this Huion stuff was a deal breaker.
Edit: I had talked to an Amazon Expert over the phone about the Huion issue, and she told me the mouse jumping across the screen was a known issue. Since the Gaomon driver appears to be the same Huion driver (they both had the same version number even, 14.4.4) I assume other Amazon customers have had issues with this Gaomon model as well.
