Lies!
The motivation: I have a 2-year old nosepicker who LOVES her some bubbles. I need to figure out how to produce them in large quantities as economically as possible. The experiment: Which bubbles last longer, these "professional" grade bubbles, or the "cheapo" Gazillion bubbles? The setup: two identical pairs of two different types of bubble machines, running side by side, filled to the same levels, and turned on at the same time. This wasn't even a close match. The Gazillion bubbles, ranging from a fifth to less than half the price of these "pro" grade bubbles clearly last about twice as long. Furthermore, the claims of these being more colorful are straight up BS. I didn't think there would be much of a difference (actually I thought they would perform identically, so I'm really surprised to have a clear winner), but you can actually see the bubbles coming out of the machines and it's unmistakable that the Gazillion-filled machines' bubbles are more colorful! I can't speak to flight time. They all seem to float about equally. Neither produces heavier bubbles than the other, it seems. Next I will look at making my own bubbles out of dish soap and glycerin... but for now, Gazillion comes out way ahead.
