New Record
I have had my own grooming business for 38 years and been grooming pets and show dogs for close to 5 decades now. Back in the days when there was only one company and you had to use a screwdriver to change the blades. Over 40 years later, the are still going. These made it 1.5 days. I am not certain if all so called “professional” clippers are really for the pet owner.
They started sounding like a train at the end of day one. Next day they are over heating severe clipper drag even with new blades and cannot even cut an unmatted dog. Where these rave reviews are coming from I have no idea.
I have spent as little as $130 to $500 on clippers and none of them make it 6 months. Most professionals have many clippers for different grooming. Finish work, matted dogs, dirty dogs, ones we don’t mind dropping on the rubber mats, ones that we treat like they were made out of gold. Whatever I pay I expect them to last more than 1.5 days.
I also found them very heavy, not ergonomic, more like a 1980’s clipper. Will be sending these back. Quality of clippers today compared to the dark ages when I started are a disgrace and the groomers I know all have the same complaints.
