Bought this for our son for Christmas. Looked great! Several weeks later he woke up and said he saw bugs coming out of his headboard!!! We were mortified! We had a professional exterminator with a specialty trained dog come in and investigate! They 100% said we have bedbugs and it was from the headboard! Once we unzipped the back of the headboard we saw the “nest”! Luckily we caught it early enough so our house wasnt infested- but we threw out everything in the room! And paid $2000 for the exterminator to make multiple trips to our house to get rid of the bugs! The brand new mattress was garbage as well, curtains, pictures on the wall, etc! We had to bag all his clothes and leave them in the hot sun before washing them.. it’s been a nightmare. I’m so embarrassed- no one knows we have bed bugs! Please be cautious when considering this headboard!
