Update 6/15 Changing from 2 stars to 1 star- Got an email from Peter Besen (founder and GM of Blink) about the issues that I have had. He apologized for the issues that I have encountered. He also said "As a token of our appreciation and your patience, I’d also like to offer you an additional XT2 camera free of charge." That was 3 weeks ago, I dont have an additional camera or follow-up correspondence. Some way to-do business. Offer a product that doesnt work, then when its your turn to make it right you lie to your customer base. Avoid this product. Overall a good product. I have had 2 big complaints about the product, and some smaller ones: *The outdoor mounts- that come included are absolutely terrible. I find it insulting that I have to buy aftermarket mounts with this product. After, trying to install them to get the correct angle, I gave up and bought some other mounts on Amazon. The Mounts were supposed to be new and engineered differently. But I have had the same results that many others have complained about. If you are mounting this to look directly down, then you will be good, but any side to side articulation I wouldnt trust this at all. *Night time video- The picture quality is not that impressive. It doesnt look clean or sharp. Not completely unrecognizable, but not that good either. I would say picture quality is like looking at non-HD show on a HD tv. I also have Xfinity indoor cameras, they look great and are easily HD quality. *The app that you download has a advertisement for nest security. I mean its not a small advertisement either. Just rather annoying that you pay for a piece of equipment that requires an app to utilize and there is advertisements on that app. You have paid for the product. Why advertise on the app? *Lastly, is the load time on the cameras. When you want to connect to look at the live videos, there is about a 3-5 second delay before it loads. This is something that I am completely unused to with any Security system. That delay needs to be trimmed down. Everything else with this system I am completely satisfied with. The app is easy to navigate and the daytime video feed is great. The alerts work great. First time set-up is smooth and easy for non-technical people to set up. However, with these 4 things that I mentioned, I can live with this system. Im not sure I would recommend this to others. If I do I would let them see and mess around with mine before they buy.
