Great fitting comfortable lightweight walking shoe, but can be dangerous on certain surface types!
PRO's: Love this shoe! I replaced my old New Balance Men's 847V3 with a pair of these. First off these are the lightest walking shoes I've ever owned and the first pair of Sketchers. They fit great, are all black so I can wear them at work, and they are very comfortable.
CON's: You need to be careful when walking in these on certain smooth surfaces like linoleum tiled floors you see in the hallways of many older office buildings. Smooth ceramic tile floors like you would find in a shopping mall are also an issue. For some reason the soles of these shoes DO NOT slide at ALL on these types of surfaces and this has caused me to trip and fall a half dozen times now. However this problem ONLY occurs on these type flooring surfaces. I think it's a combination of the ultra lightweight shoe coupled with the material the soles are made of which is causing this issue for me. My brain tells my rearward foot to pick up and move forward, however with my specific gate I ever so slightly drag the ball of my foot just enough that on these smooth surfaces the sole is so sticky it just locks to the floor which subsequently causes me to stumble. If I'm walking on any other types of surfaces this does not occur. I think this is because the sole doesn't get the same amount of traction as on the aforementioned surfaces and can actually slide that millimeter or two before my foot comes completely off the ground. I'm unable to use these shoes for mall walking or at work. Everywhere else though they are great.
