Initial Installation -- Functions as expected: Until it doesn't - don't expect warranty service.
Caution: We experienced issues with this lock after replacing the batteries the second time. The behavior was inconsistent and abnormal. After replacing the batteries today, I wasn't able to get the lock to function at all. Yale Support advised me that the lock is likely defective, but only comes with a one (1) year warranty and, so, there wasn't anything they could do. I expected my $200 deadbolt to last more than four years.
I will leave my original review - with updates - to help anyone that still decides to purchase one during installation.
Edit: Five (5) months after installation, and the original batteries are still going.
Edit: Nine (9) months after installation, and the original batteries are still going.
Edit: Sixteen (16) months after installation, and the original batteries are still going.
Edit 14 March 2020: Batteries finally died just a few minutes ago. Door will not lock and emits a tone I assume is to alert me that the batteries are too low to continue to operate. Mind you, these were the original batteries that came with the unit. I'm pretty happy with their longevity.
Important: Be careful during installation to ensure that the lock can cleanly and smoothly lock without having to push / pull the door.
Important: The radio module does not come pre-installed. It is in a small white box contained in the cardboard and is easy to overlook. Make sure you don't throw anything away until you've installed the radio module.

There are some contradictory reviews on this lock insofar as how it behaves with Alexa, so I wanted to set those straight.
If you have an Echo Plus, you have everything you need. That's all I have (aside from a other Echo devices around the home). I own no additional hubs of any kind. If you are also only using an Echo Plus, please make sure you're purchasing the Zigbee version of this lock.
The unlock feature is disabled by default. You must enable it by selecting the lock device within the Alexa App's Smart Home section. You have two unlock options: 1.) Remote (via alexa app - a toggle like with lights) and 2.) Voice (requires creation of a 4-digit PIN that must be confirmed every time you ask alexa to unlock the lock).
The lock itself has some neat features:
1. It will automatically lock if it sense you've touched the screen and it is currently unlocked.
2. You can configure an auto-relock (various pre-set times between 30 seconds and 3 minutes if I recall).
3. Master PIN Code + (many) User PIN Codes
Disclaimer: I have only just now finished installing, pairing, and verifying functionality. I will update the review as needed if things go sideways from here. I will specifically add information about battery lifespan once I have it.

Pairing Instructions (For Echo Plus, though similar for other hubs I suppose)
1. Open the door and lock the deadbolt.
2. Place palm on the touchscreen to wake it up.
3. Enter your master PIN Code and hit the Gear Icon (to enter menu mode).
4. Hit #7 followed by the gear icon.
--Note: If you only have numbers 1-6, it means you do not have the radio module installed. I hope you didn't throw anything away.
--Note: Remove the batteries prior to installing the radio module!
5. Tell Alexa to discover devices.
6. While Alexa is telling you about the discovery process, hit #1 on the touchscreen followed by the gear key. This will set the lock to pairing mode. If you do this before telling Alexa to discover it, the lock is likely to timeout before Alexa can find it. Emits a loud beep when Alexa finds it ... you won't miss it, trust me.
