I can't believe that the canner has a 70% 5 star rating, has to be people who reviewed to soon, or hardly used it. Mine lasted less than 40 days, and used 5 times, won't power up. Great idea, but short lived performance. This item is a waste of your money until they produce better quality for your dollar. Still have to say, I'm shocked to see so many good reviews. I take excellent care of my tools and appliances, I buy quality, and I buy to be used. So, you can understand why I expect the thing to work more than 5 times. Yes, you can get a lemon, but something that gets this many 5 stars should be covered longer than 30 days for return or exchange. Follow Up to the original review. I still can't speak for the reliability of the unit for the long haul, I may have just gotten a bad one. But, the company may have changed its warranty policy regarding returns. I called the company and they requested that I cut the plug off, and send a picture in an email, and they replaced the canner at no charge. At least, they deserve consideration for making the purchase right. I did purchase a second canner, and it seems to be working fine. I felt that the company deserved a fair review. Bottom line, the canner is great when working. It is easy to use, cans smaller quantities, the unit is substantial. It is the electronics that failed.
