In theory I love this thing - great design, very small and easy to pack, and three sound options (loud white noise, soft white noise, and ocean). However, once I actually got it to the hotel and turned it on while we tried to sleep, we both noticed a looping beep/melodic electronic pulse that repeated every second and a half. I didn't notice it until we actually were trying to sleep - it isn't immediately apparent when you just listen to it in a normal room - but as soon as we tried to calm and quiet down we both could separately hear it. It was enough that I could sing the pattern/notes to my partner, who immediately confirmed it back for me. It was so disruptive that we ended up turning it off - and it happened on all three sound options (but a slightly different tone/pattern on each). So, if you have sensitive hearing, definitely test this one out in a quiet meditative room before you take it on vacation. I unfortunately am sending it back.
