I purchased this tent to take on a three week road trip. We decided to do a little camp out with my parents just to make sure everything was going to go smoothly. The set up? A breeze. The look? Perfect, lots of head room. Functionality? Rude awakening incoming.. The sun had just set when we felt the first rain drops. A baby shower turned into a hell yeah storm as it continuously blew up on top of us. We decided to all retire to our tents after checking the weather app to see that it may rain all night. We unzipped our tent, walked in, and quickly realized that water was slowly leaking in the bottom seam of the tent. It is now 10:30 PM, and we’re driving home two hours, soaked, Forrest Gump in Vietnam status. The only positive I see from this is that I’m not in the middle of nowhere figuring this out at 2 AM. So, buy it if you’re camping somewhere with the forecast of the movie Holes. Do not buy it if the area you intend to camp in receives rain at any given time. I’m definitely contacting this company Monday. I’ve got to thaw out, dry off, and sleep off the exhaustion and attitude first. Happy weekend! Edit: after looking over the manual, it says to weatherproof the seams. Consumer error, but still not something I feel like toying with on that long of a trip. Would be nice to see that on the packaging, and at the price, it should come sealed. Also, little airflow with the rain flap.
