What a disappointment. I shopped extensively for a train table for my young grandson for the last few months, and this seemed to be the perfect gift. I was attracted by the positive reviews, and numerous accessories included with the kit. Unfortunately, I don't believe the toy will last because of two major issues. 1. The two-piece laminated top was already peeling away from the MDF board prior to assembling 2. The 1/2" Meduim Density Fiberboard (MDF) is will not support the trays as designed What makes the laminated top issue worse, is that not only the edges are exposed, but there is a seam down the center of the table where two smaller pieces are joined. Running cars or other toys across the surface will expose this already frayed edge to more wear, and likely pull the image, likely tearing. I believe the laminated top can be preserved by using some clear packing tape along the edges, but it will not be nearly as presentable. :( One of the big benefits of this design, is that all the accessories can be stored in the red bins shown in the picture. Note, however, that only the weight of the included accessories causes the supports to sag 3/4" just a few hours after assembly. I fear that over time, these will continue to sag, and ultimately break. Overall, I would have been better off spending 50% more for a quality product. I would like to return, but not sure how to handle this since it has already been assembled. I buy a lot of merchandise from Amazon, so this will be a test of the customer service.
