Was very excited to play a rediculous, random, quick witted game with family and friends, but was VERY disappointed with the game makers on this one. As other reviewers mentioned, the strategy was unclear and the rules were complicated and the actual "how to" play the game was very choppy. However, my main complaint and reason for writing this review is to make parents and individuals aware before purchasing this game that it is EXTREMELY NEGATIVE and PHYCOLOGICALY DAMAGING. What should be light hearted and funny was in actuality very dark and discouraging. Repeated cards like "you lie awake at night thinking about what a disappointment you are" and "you feel like nobody likes you-you're right" are the point of the game. I felt this repeated validation of negative thoughts can be very DESTRUCTIVE to the HUMAN PHYCH, especially for the AGE GROUP this game is supposedly targeted towards. Some may think those comments are sartastic and laugh but others may be more vulnerable or sensitive to verbal and repeated SELF DESTRUCTIVE THINKING. The human brain is intricate and complex, and as much as we understand and research about the rising problems of depression and suicide in our society, and make actions to move towards preventative programs for the safety of self and others, I felt this game did exactly the opposite. It created LOW SELF ESTEEM THOUGHT PROCESSES. It is geared towards those who have a very morbid sense of humor, a coarse self worth, and those who survive on the negativity of others to make themselves feel better in an unhealthy twisted mental pattern. The result of playing this game with my family of various ages for only thirty minutes in trying to figure out the nonsensical rules, brought immediate DISCOURAGEMENT lack of SELF WORTH, and DEPRESSION into our otherwise happy and cheerful home. It was by no means uplifting, humorous or even fun. If you are an engaged parent or positive individual who creates feelings of valuable self worth in others, including family and friends, this game may not be for you.
