I bought three of these HDDs here on Amazon. They are running in my file server. The notice in the box that came with them said Western Digital acquired HGST, so register them on the HGST web site since HGST still provides the warranty. I entered each of three serial numbers, one at a time, to register for the warranty. EACH AND EVERY TIME the site said "not in our database", i.e. getting the runaround on the warranty.
