WARNING i PREVIOUSLY GAVE THIS PRODUCT A 3 STAR RATING, BUT i SPOKE TOO SOON. After my dog destroyed this toy and swallowed the pieces (IT IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR STRONG CHEWERS) I ENDED UP TAKING THE DOG TO THE VET. After thousands of dollars of testing and surgery the pieces of this product that got lodged in my dogs intestines were removed. he almost died and if I didn't have very good pet insurance I would have been forced todestroy him. I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT TO GIVE THIS PRODUCT TO YOUR DOG, EVEN WHILE OBSERVING HIM PLAY WITH IT. MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SAID THE SQUEAKER DISSAPPEARS OUT OF PRODUCT IMMEDIATELY. That means only one thing, a chance for a blockage down the road andi ntestines getting ripped up laong the way if it makes it own way out. I love Kong products, but if you have a strong chewer stick to the black heavy duty toys. THIS WAS A VERY COSTLY MISTAKE AND I DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO SUBJECT THEIR DOG TO THE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING HURT OR WORSE DYING FROM THIS PRODUCT. I have written to the manufacturer to let them know what happened, not asking for anything and received no responce at all. To me that says they knew there was a potential problem and still marketed the product. It is no longer isted under their products they sell, so maybe they got smart and removed it. INITIAL REVIEW.... I am disappointed in in how this product held up. I swear by Kong toys for my Pitbulls, so I thought I would give this a try. Was totally chewed to smithereens in less than an hour. It is the only Kong product I have ever had a problem with and sadly there is nothing to return.
